The Ukrainian Legal Group serves as co-organizer of International Trademark Association's (INTA) interactive
seminar "Mediation as an Alternative Method for Commercial Dispute Resolution" held on November 29, 2005 in Kiev, Ukraine.
The seminar is sponsored by A/T B.A.T. - Prilucky Tobacco Company. INTA has developed an Alternative Dispute Resolution
Program, of which this seminar is a part, to encourage parties in various countries to consider and practice this method.
Specialists of the State Department of Intellectual Property, other government bodies involved with intellectual property protection,
practicing IP lawyers, patent and trademark agents, judges and arbitrators participate in the seminar.

RULG attorney Dmytro Syrota delivered a presentation on "Competition Law in Ukraine" as a
part of training session for Ukrainian commercial court judges. The training program consisted
of six sessions held in various cities all over Ukraine as part of a "Reform of Arbitration
Courts and Support to Court Administration" Project sponsored by the European Commission and
implemented by UNDP Ukraine. The overall objective of the Project is to support the reform of
Ukraine's judicial system and promote more effective legal remedies. The PowerPoint summary

RULG attorneys Irina Paliashvili, Dmytro Syrota, and Serhiy Dzis participated in the OECD's Roundtable Discussion on the Legal Landscape for Doing Business
in Ukraine as part of the OECD and EU/TACIS Project on "Improving the Conditions for Enterprise Development and the Investment Climate for Domestic
and International Investors in Ukraine". Dr. Paliashvili moderated two panels and also spoke on the New Civil and Commercial Codes panel.
Mr. Syrota spoke on the Anti Monopoly and Unfair Competition Laws panel and Mr. Dzis on the Corporate Legislation panel.
