Dr. Thomas Rihm is a partner with the mid-sized commercial law firm of Thouvenin Rechtsanwälte in Zürich. Dr. Rihm specializes since ten years in mergers & acquisitions and in other commercial law areas, advising mostly foreign corporate clients investing in Switzerland. Graduating from the Law Faculty of the University of Basel in Switzerland in 1986, he was admitted to the bar in Switzerland in 1988. In 1990, Dr. Rihm became Doctor of Jurisprudence at the University of Basel with a doctoral thesis on subordinated loans. Between 1990 and 1993, Dr. Rihm was a foreign associate with the tax departments of a major accounting firm in New York and with a leading New Jersey law firm. In 1995, he also passed the examination as a U.S. Certified Public Accountant in New York. Dr. Rihm regularly publishes in various legal magazines and financial newspapers in Switzerland and abroad. He also serves on a regular basis as a speaker in national and international law seminars
